Product design can be designing a totally new product, or re-designing an already existing product or product details.
When designing a new product, the best way is to follow a well defined brief ( project specification) that is defined by the client, to get a result and a process that both the designer and the client can be happy with.
A product designing phase is often divided into different phases. First is the idea phase were you generate ideas following guidelines from the brief.
Second phase is the evaluation of the generated ideas and development of one or many chosen ideas. After this phase the company production resources are more involved and technical drawings and material specifications are made.
To get a cost effective and good process, Framot works closely with the client throughout the whole process. Framot has experience in working with a wide range of different products varying from soft products such as bags and jackets, to hard products such as lawn movers and reflectors.
